Austin A60 Cambridge, 1964.  Finished in two-tone colours of Persian Blue and Snowberry White with pale blue leather trimmed interior.

This is probably the best example that you could ever find.

This incredible car was purchased new by Laurence Griffin on 16th March, 1964 from the Royal Ascot Garage, Ascot. He paid £755 for it, which also included £10 for the Radiomobile radio. This car has remained in his ownership ever since.

Mr Griffin, a most fastidious and dedicated owner, kept and maintained this car to the highest order, never taking it out in the wet and certainly never driving on salted roads.  This superbly preserved model was garaged throughout the winter and raised up on axle stands to avoid flat spots on the tyres.

In the early years he used Dinotrol and in the later years he used Waxyol as an anti corrosion balm.

This car has an interesting range of period accessories and personal modifications carried out meticulously by Mr Griffin who never used the car as his daily driver, preferring instead to only bring it out in fine weather during high days and holy days.

Some of the accessories and modifications are as follows :-

A voltmeter, ammeter, battery indicator gauge, vacuum gauge, rev counter, battery isolator switch etc.

Also, an After market kit which works as a method of injecting Redex into the engine to act as an upper cylinder lubricant.  There is a canister in the engine bay which holds the Redex and a small button on the dash which is pressed to inject the lubricant.

Due to Mr Griffin’s regime of maintenance and outstanding care, this car, which has only covered a genuine 30,000 miles from new and has never been restored, is virtually in the same condition as it was in on the day it left the factory in 1964.

Supplied with a huge history file including original brochures, stamp service book from Royal Ascot Garage, invoices,  magazine articles etc..  and on the original boot mat on the floor is a host of spares.

Unique opportunity to acquire a 54 year old,  One Owner from new, Austin A60 Cambridge that has only covered a genuine 30,000 miles from new. This unrestored A60 Cambridge is in unrepeatable condition and drives perfectly.

Must be seen to be believed!
