Triumph TR3 Rally Car, 1956. (Outright Winner of the 2005 Monte Carlo Winter Challenge). Finished in Brooklands Green with Period Ridgard Beige leather bucket seats with harnesses. Factory Aliminium Hardtop. This fantastic car was repatriated from California in 1996 and was then subject to a total rebuild to top rally winning specification. This work was carried out by TRBITZ and Racetorations. The list of upgrades is huge including Laycock four speed gearbox with overdrive. Complete engine rebuild to rally specification with gas flowed unleaded fast road cylinder head, competition valve springs, balanced and tuftrided crank, Harmonic Crank Damper, Forged Conrods, 87mm Mahle Pistons and Liners, Remington Rally Cam, Aluminium Fly Wheel, Alloy Finned Sump, Twin SU HS6's, Stainless Steel Manifold and Supersports Exhaust System, Period Salisbury LSD. Uprated Shock Absorbers and Springs. Hydraulic Servo Disc Brakes. Halda Twin Master and Brantz Rally Clocks and Stop Watch. Roll Bar and Side Bars. Supplied with the car is a huge history file containing invoices for all this work, amounting to a staggering £90,000. This is a well known and very successful car and has competed in most of the major rallying events both in the UK and abroad, always achieving a high level of place finishes.
